At Pier Lodge Day Nursery we are particularly proud of our garden facilities.

Five of our nursery rooms have direct access to the garden area, which itself is divided into age appropriate areas.  The areas include an outside classroom which allows for a great outdoor learning experience.  Additional garden facilities include a mud kitchen, water wheel, sand area, musical wall, sensory areas and vegetable planters.

Children are always encouraged to use the garden during their session and all we request from parents is that they can supply suitable outdoor clothing, as we already have a supply of wet suits.

At Pier Lodge Day Nursery children are offered opportunities to develop their large motor skills additionally utilising investigation and exploration skills using imagination and creativity.

All children will be encouraged to enjoy energetic activity outdoors with the opportunity to relax and have fun in the outdoors using a variety of resources when they choose.
