Pier Lodge Day Nursery is a purpose built nursery based at Thames Road in Grays, Essex.  Conveniently located close to the local train station and town centre, Pier Lodge is a one of a kind nursery admitting children from the ages of 12 months up to five years of age.

The nursery itself have dedicated rooms divided for different age ranges which have trained room leaders and qualified nursery nurses assigned within.  All of the rooms are interconnecting and are linked to a segregated garden area allowing the children freedom to play, explore and learn.

The nursery also has a fully equipped kitchen, inspected annually by the local authority.  The kitchen serves hot food on the premises and all dietary requirements are catered for.

The children are provided with a healthy balanced diet to meet their nutritional needs, using quality ingredients with vegetables and fresh fruit daily.  Meals provided include breakfast, morning snack, lunch and afternoon tea with extra refreshments outside of the normal routine available when needed.

Fresh drinking water is accessible to the children throughout the course of the day.   Our mealtime routines offer the opportunity for social skills to develop, using good hygiene, china and cutlery, together with social conversation.  The weekly menu is displayed in the Reception area and parent’s suggestions are always welcome.

At Pier Lodge Day Nursery our policy dictates that no adult will be left alone with a child without a current enhanced certificate from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS); use of staff mobile telephones or cameras is not permitted without specific management permission.
