Funding

At Pier Lodge Day Nursery we accept government funding for 3 year olds and those entitled to 2 year old funding for 38 weeks of the year.

Government funded sessions are either 8am until 1pm or 1pm until 6pm.  To access the full 15 hours, your child will attend 3 sessions per week.

Government funding means that all children after their 3rd birthday are entitled to 15 hours per week free funding.  Depending on when your child was born means at which time we would be able to enrol them from within our nursery.

30 hour funding is available, but spaces are limited. Please contact the nursery for further information.

If your child is born between Free space from
1st January - 31st March 1st April
1st April - 31st August 1st September
1st September - 31st December 1st January

The 2 year old entitlement works differently to 3 year old entitlement.  A letter of eligibility will be sent to parents.  This has a reference number for which the nursery uses to claim the free funding.  The funding session times are the same as above.

Parents have the ability to ‘top-up’ sessions using funding.  Please refer to our nursery fee list located on-site or give us a call to discuss this.

Parents can check whether they could be eligible for a range of government childcare offers, including the 30 hours offer, at Childcare Choices: https://www.childcarechoices.gov .uk
