Please be advised that the nursery will resume its services from tomorrow, Wednesday 8th January 2020. Thurrock Council have updated their website to confirm it is now safe to do so. We apologise for any inconvenience caused. Thank you. 

Due to a large chemical incident in the area, we have been informed by Thurrock Council that the nursery must remain closed until further instruction. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused. Please call the nursery before your child’s next session to check whether we are open. 

On Thursday 14th and Friday 15th November 2019 we had a Tombola to raise money for Children In Need and on the Friday the staff and children dressed up in colourful clothes and fancy dress. All together we raised £250!!!! A huge thank you to all of our staff and parents for their continued support. 

This year’s Harvest Festival collection has been a huge success thanks to the kind donations made by staff, parents and children. The food items came to a huge total of 86.5kg and were taken to Thurrock foodbank where they were gratefully received. Children have been asking many questions about where the food is going and

  The children have been busy making and decorating cupcakes in support of the Macmillan charity. From making signs to wearing green, the nursery community all came together to raise a total of £103. We thank everyone for their participation and look forward to the next fund raising event.

At Pier Lodge, we organised our own green grocers in the foyer of the nursery for children to visit and ‘buy’ ingredients to make their own soup and fruit salads.
