Harvest Festival at Pier Lodge!

This October, parents, children and staff have been busy helping the nursery to collect a variety of dry foods to take to the local food bank.

Harvest festival is traditionally a celebration during which schools and nurseries collect food to donate to those in need. The children at Pier Lodge Day Nursery have been learning about sharing, giving to others and the importance of not wasting food through a variety of activities.

We are very humbled to say that together, we collected a whopping 183kg of food, which was delivered to Thurrock Food Bank. We would like to say a huge thank you to all involved and look forward to our next charity event, which we will share with you soon.
