COVID-19 Emergency Action and Nursery Closure

As a nursery we have been following guidance from the Government and Local Authority. We have been taking action and putting plans in place to ensure we can stay open and provide outstanding childcare for as long as possible.

We have been instructed today that as of Monday 23rd March 2020, we will continue to provide childcare for children who fall into the below categories;

• Children of key workers 
• Children in vulnerable groups

If you fall into any of the below job categories we will continue to provide childcare for you;

• Health and social care (doctors, nurses, midwives, paramedics, social workers, care workers, distributors of medicine etc)
• Education and childcare (teachers, teaching staff, social workers, early years educators, specialist education professionals)
• Key public services (religious staff, charities, journalists and broadcasters providing public service broadcasting)
• Local and National government
• Foods and other necessary goods (Those involved in food production, processing, distribution, sale and delivery of goods)
• Public safety and National security ( Police and support staff, Ministry of defence, armed forces, fire and rescue service employees, national crime agency staff, border security, prison and probation staff, national security roles)
• Transport (air, water, road or rail operators involved in COVID-19 response)
• Utilities, communications, and financial services (workers in banks, building societies and financial market infrastructure, the oil, gas, electricity and water sectors, IT and data infrastructure sector, key staff working in nuclear, chemicals, telecommunications call centre staff, 999, 111 critical services, postal services and delivery, waste disposal sectors)
